Maintenance Tips for Baby Swimming Pools

by My Store Admin 18 Jul 2025

Proper maintenance is essential to ensure the safety, hygiene, and longevity of baby swimming pools. Whether you're a franchise owner or a new parent, following these simple guidelines will help keep your pool in top condition:

1. Avoid Using Harsh Cleaning Agents

Do not use decontamination powders or abrasive cleaners to wipe the surface of the pool. These substances can corrode the material and reduce its shine and durability.

2. No Sharp or Abrasive Tools

It is strictly prohibited to use sharp or rough objects (e.g., steel wool, hard brushes) when cleaning the pool. These can scratch and damage the surface.

3. Let Silicone Sealant Cure Properly

After the pool is installed and filled with water, the silicone used for sealing needs 24 hours to fully cure. Avoid using the pool during this period to prevent water leakage.

4. Keep High Temperatures Away

Do not place light bulbs, open flames, or high-temperature objects (especially those connected to power sources) inside or near the pool. These can cause burns, warping, or permanent surface damage.

5. Avoid Strong Chemical Solvents

Keep the pool away from strong organic solvents such as paint thinners, volatile agents, or cleaning chemicals. These can soften, crack, or dissolve the pool surface and compromise its structural integrity.

6. Do Not Pour Boiling Water Directly Into the Pool

Never add boiling water directly into the baby pool. Always fill the pool with cold or lukewarm water first, then gradually warm it to the desired temperature.

7. Use Baby-Safe Disinfectants Only

Avoid using highly corrosive disinfectants like bleach or 84 disinfectant on the pool body or hardware. These can damage the material and pose health risks.
Recommended options: Use mild, baby-safe disinfectants such as Dettol or Walch, or opt for physical disinfection methods (e.g., UV sterilizers or ozone systems).

By following these maintenance tips, you can extend the life of your baby swimming pool and ensure a safe and clean swimming environment for every little swimmer.
